The Pro Series Pumps Deluxe Dual Float Controller (DFC2) is a premium product. It has a cage that protects the 2 micro reed switches. The second float acts as a fail-safe, providing redundancy. The dual float simply mounts to the discharge pipe, at the activation height of your choosing, with the included stainless steel hose clamp and is a piggy-back switch making it compatible with most sump pumps. For easy installation the float switch can be unplugged from the controller, the run time is adjustable (after the float drops), and the controller has universal mounting tabs. For superior user functionality, the DFC2 exercises the sump pump weekly to extend pump life and has a system operating light to display that the control box is operating properly. It also monitors pump and power conditions, sounds an alarm when problems are detected, and gives a visual light that pinpoints the remedy.
