Designed to provide a way to visually determine that a tank has reached maximum allowable fill capacity. The dip tube end of a fixed liquid level gauge should be set equal to 80% of the liquid level tank capacity and installed in the vapor space of the tank. The vent valve should be opened before filling begins during which time vapor will be discharged.
