Product Description
Testing a GFCI is a good way to verify that it is providing protection. While all GFCIs should be tested monthly, users often forget to conduct this test on a regular basis. Now there is a technology available that can supplement the manual testing and regularly conduct an automatic test of the circuit. In June of 2015 there was a revision to the UL (Underwriters Laboratory) standard 943 for Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupters that improves safety for the end-user by requiring GFCI manufacturers to integrate an auto-monitoring (self-test) feature that performs a periodic test to confirm that the GFCI can respond to a ground-fault and, if not, it must visually and/or audibly indicate to the user that it needs to be replaced.GFCI will continually test itself and alert the user if protection has been compromisedPatented reset lockout feature prevents the GFCI from being reset if it cannot respond to a ground faultConformal coated PC board to protect critical components from moisture, stainless steel straps and mounting screws and UV stabilized engineering thermoplasticReduced depth makes it easier to install in electrical boxesProduct Videos
